Is Philip Murgor fit to represent Sarah Wairimu Kamotho over the brutal murder of her husband Tob Cohen ?

Nairobi High Court judge Stella Mutuku has deferred Sarah Wairimu Kamotho plea taking over the brutal murder of her husband, Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen until October 1, 2019 to allow the prosecution to consult on the representations of the suspect.

The prosecution led by Catherine Mwaniki, Wangui Gikui and Solomon Naulikha requested for more time to consult the DPP on whether Sarah Wairimu lawyer Philip Murgor the gazette notice appointing him as a public prosecutor was revoked or he is a state prosecutor.

The prosecution also wants the Sarah Wairimu’s lawyers cited for contempt in Tob Cohen murder trial over remarks made during his burial despite the ruling by Lady Justice Jessie Lessit barring the parties from commenting on the case to the media.

Lady Justice Stella Mutuku to make a ruling on the contempt on 1st October, 2019

  1. He tabled a resignation letter in court but the question is, is resignation letter enough or degazettement must happen?

    1. The Prosecution today confirmed that Philip Murgor appointment as public prosecutor with a Gazette notice dated 15/1/2019 has has not been revoked and therefore cannot represent Wairimu. The High Court Judge Justice Stella Mutuku to rule on wairimu representation on 3/10/2019
